The Basics
Little is know about how the band actually came together and it is sure that Kevin, Frank, Alex, and Patrick will be reluctant to share such information. Since their inception in late 2002, the band has been cranking out mosh-friendly hardcore tunes and on occasion, doing a complete 180 and showcasing some of the weirdest creations heard from anyone.

The Story
Early Years: Forging the moniker and their first release:Warning Shot EP (2002-2003)
The founding members and guitarists of the band, Kevin and Alex, began in the basement of Alex's parents' house. Kevin covered bass and rhythm guitar and Alex did the lead guitar, vocals, and drums. It was strictly a basement project and the album was not planned to be seriously released. Somehow, one of their buddies from school heard one of the tracks and suggested that they put a serious band together. So they did. Kevin was a bit hazy on the details of how Frank and Patrick came into the picture, but in any case, it all ended with Kevin on rhythm guitar, Alex on lead guitar and vocals, Frank on bass, and Patrick on drums.
As for their band name..."It was a line we heard from some old Western flick.", says Alex.

Shit Hits the Fan: Sign of the Second Release
(2004-2006)
After limited success with their first EP, the boys from Warning Shot took to opening up for more famous bands like Disrupt, Into Avoca, and 1st Assault in hopes of getting their name out. And it worked. In fact, it worked so well that people began asking when a second album was due. The guys weren't even thinking about doing another album themselves, but it looked as if they had to. So they began recording their self-titled LP in the middle of 2004 and by February of 2006, it was released. It didn't grow on people at first. Their sound had changed and rightly so. The songs were less catchy, but more technical. It was also the first album that the boys started experimenting with Grindcore. For some it was a success, for others, less agreeable.
In an interview with an underground punk fanzine, bassist, Frank stated why he thought their LP wasn't as well received,
"I think we set the bar pretty high with the EP and when our LP came out it was just like 'Wow...what the f**k?' and for a lot of people, it sucked. I guess people were expecting some pop punk s**t. I have nothing against playing that, but we aren't going to make the same album a hundred f*****g times to please everyone. We actually want to grow as artists."

Ironic Album Titles, Fame, and Finally Making Friends
(2007-2010)
After a bumpy start with their first LP, things started to look up. The boys played their first show where they headlined. It was a big success. The record sales slowly climbed and so did eagerness for a another release. But the guys were tired. They hadn't had a real day off in quite sometime. So after they finished their tour in December of 2007, the boys took a few months off. In that time, Patrick and Kevin began to form small ideas of what was to become their new album, Positive Force.
After their small break from touring and work, the boys began playing more shows, but never once mentioned having a new album in the works. Throughout 2008 and 2009, the band worked off and on making the album. The band had started getting interested in the metalcore styles of Earth Crisis and Set Your Goals. Consequentially, a few of the new tracks delivered catchy and melodic breakdowns. Finally, in November of 2009, while at a show, the band announced the imminent release of their junior effort. The crowd was surprised and then overcome with sheer joy.
In July of 2010, Positive Force was released. It received widespread acclaim and has been the highest selling album in their whole catalog. In the first week of release, the album sold 11,000 copies. The surprise was altogether surprising. The band did not expect such a reaction.
"I think it scared the shit out of us, haha." Alex admits.
"We're an underground hardcore band, ya know. So it's not something you see too often, I guess. So we were pretty surprised our album did that well." Patrick says.
The success of Positive Force opened many doors. Bands like 1st Assault began asking to start a tour with Warning Shot. Obviously, the band agreed and thus, the First Shot tour was born.

Living Outside the Box and Making More Friends
(2010-2011)
There was much touring for Positive Force. All the while, the band became silently at odds with their previous releases.
"The more we played old songs, the more we came to hate them. Now we want to do something unexpected." Kevin states, in a recent interview with LOUDmag.
Presently, the boys at Warning Shot have finished a tour for Positive Force and are now working on their fourth release and third LP, Making Noise. An official news page was released, stating that the new album would be unlike anything the band had ever done. Following the news release, a new track, presumably one for the new album, was released. The name: 'Lightning Coffin'. Fans and critics alike were a bit taken aback by the new sound the band has adopted. Many theorize that the new found obsession with sludge metal band, Torche, has imposed itself on the new album.
Frank and Alex clarify, "Yea......haha we fucking love Torche."
The new album is due out October 11, 2011. Meanwhile, the band announced that not only are they doing a tour with 1st Assault, but another one with Evening Sun, a up and coming band that will be releasing their debut soon.

_The Year of Warning ...And Cheese
(2011-present time)
_Making Noise was a GIANT success. In fact, the band, the managers, and
even the fans couldn't even predict how much of a success Making Noise
would be. After a bit of hazy start, the album and its reputation shot
to unseen heights. By the end of 2011, Making Noise had already cemented
its place as one of the best albums of the year. Consequentially,
Warning Shot snagged 'Punk Album of the Year' at C&BR Awards because of
Making Noise. Larry Herman, of LOUDmag, called Making Noise "one of the
most unique hardcore punk experiences ever created."
But with the colossal success of Making Noise, how could it ever be topped?
"We really told ourselves that this would be our ONE great album." says Kevin.
While Making Noise received complimentary back-slap after complimentary back-slap, the boys were silently preparing for their next assault. They unleashed a new track in December, 'Outlaw', as promotion for the upcoming 2012 album, Wicked Love.
"We really weren't hiding from the fact that this album would never outdo Making Noise. I mean, how could it? Our first three albums got some good flak, but never once were they nominated for an award. And then we release Making Noise and now everyone knows our name." says Frank
Warning Shot finished Wicked Love in mid-December. To test the waters, the band sent 7 pre-release copies to close friends and label heads. All 7 of those lucky recipients responded positively to the album.
"I shit my pants. It was scary as hell. One of our label heads even said that this album rivaled Making Noise. So I, we, Warning Shot, were pretty surprised." exclaimed Patrick.
On January 3, 2012, Wicked Love was released. There has been no critical response yet, but Warning Shot rests easy in the fact that at least 7 people like the album.
Presently, Warning Shot is going for a 3rd knockout. The band announced that they would release their Wicked Love follow up EP, "The Cheese Conspiracy", in Early February or Early March. The guys stated in a press release that they would be returning to their traditional hardcore punk roots for a bit while they start to formulate plans for a new LP.
