The story behind HEARTBREAK OF THE CENTURY:
Formation and early years:
It all began in 2003 when Joey Harris met Robbie Miller in middle school and started a band called Century.
They played for years and tried to schedule shows for people to see but nobody came. So they kept playing to themselves.
In their sophomore year, they held auditions to find a bass player. They found Malcolm Song and started writing songs together. They played very small shows in Robbie's basement and their friend Sid's garage. Still not many fans.
So on their junior year they decided to play at their high school's talent show.
One day, before rehearsal, the band found Darren Wilson, sad and heart-broken, playing guitar to himself.
The band played along with him and asked him if he wanted to play with them at the talent show.
Darren got up and left without saying a single word.
The night of the talent show (after hearing that his ex-girlfriend was going to be there),
Darren ran on to the stage with guitar in hand introducing the band as "Heartbreak of the Century".
They played a random compostion which soon became "Another Song Without A Name" and wowed the crowd.
After the show, the band confronted Darren's ex-girlfriend and told her off. Darren wasn't sad anymore.
The group went on to play for their senior prom and met a popular band named "Suicide By Spoon" and wrote "Retraced".
Then entered a summer competition where the winner would get a record deal with Epitaph Records.
Heartbreak of the Century made second place. After that they all went on hiatus for their plans for college.

They are now in the studio recording their EP "Revengecore"
It was reported on November 4, 2011 that the Revengecore EP was cancelled due to Darren Wilson's throat injury as a result of screaming and overuse of his vocal cords. Wilson needed to get surgery and could not complete the record. It has also been reported that the finished tracks will go in their next album "The Glory Days."
