Performances
Inked and Scarred is an American metalcore that was formed in early 2009. After many incarnations, the final lineup for the band has guitarists Michael and Jordan, bassist Dylan, and drummer John. Since their inception, they have released 3 albums, 2 EP's, 3 singles, and have shot 1 music video.
Formation and Early Years
Inked and Scarred was the brain child of guitarist Michael. The original lineup consisted of Michael on guitar (they only had one guitarist), Todd on bass and Steve "Lucky" on drums. They wrote many songs, but never made an album, and ultimately broke up due to infighting and Todd's cocaine and heroine addiction.
Regrouping, "Inked", and "Embryonic"
After a year of hiatus, Inked and Scarred ultimately regrouped with new bassist Dylan and Jordan on lead guitar. Steve had moved to India due to his new religious beliefs in Hinduism. They replaced him with now drummer John. They soon went in the studio to record their first album, entitled "Inked". They decided to release this album under "BobbyTheTurtle". When asked why they went with this name, they stated,
"We thought it would be funny to go with this name, because we didn't take this project so seriously. We thought we were gonna break (up), so we came up with a ridiculous name."
"Inked" was released by Lounge Records and it was a commercial success. They soon released their singles "Embryonic" and "As The Town Burns". They then shot the music video for the song "Lead Input". They then went on a tour of their home state of Tennessee.

Tour, Double Release, and "A Punk Album With Ska?!"
BobbyTheTurtle went on tour for 3 months, playing shows in Nashville and Memphis with deathcore band Shitfaced and post-hardcore band 10-inches. They soon changed their name to "Inked and Scarred" after the tour. They then went back to Lounge Records and recorded and released two EP's. "Your Persistence Is My Failure EP" and "Guilty By Association" were not as successful as "Inked" but were still met with positive reviews. After the double release guitarist Jordan left the band to go to rehab due to his heroine addiction. Jordan was then replaced by former Vanilla Snow guitarist Tim. There was a huge shift in style with new guitarist Tim. They went from their heavy metalcore style to a pop-punk sound. This album, entitled "A Punk Album With Ska?!" was met with negative reviews from magazines and reviwers. After the band got the news, they soon fired Tim and got Jordan back. In an interview on why they fired Tim, they stated:
"Tim really sucked ass. He said we should do something unique, and we were all like, 'What the hell, why not?'. We had no idea he wanted us to do punk. I guess that's why you don't hire sucky guitarists from pussycore bands like Vanilla Snow. If Tim were to walk in right now, we would tell him to get the f**k out. We hate his guts."

"Money Buys Stuff", "Hope", Goodnight Kids Tour and present
Soon after the band re-hired Jordan, they went back to the studio and released their single "Money Buys Stuff". They then recorded and released "Hope". "Hope" was a commercial success, and was met with all positive reviews. It is the bands most successful album to date. They then launched their Goodnight Kids Tour, which is to tour all over North America. They are on the last leg of the tour. In a recent interview, rhythm guitarist Michael stated:
"After this tour, we don't know (what we'll do). We'll probably go back in the studio and record another EP. Don't tell the guys I said this, but it's gonna be a concept EP called 'Nosferatu'. After that, we'll probably be on hiatus for a while. I've really gotten into dubstep and may try that. Jordan will probably being doing his Christian crap and John might be a family man. Me and Dylan are probably gonna hang out together, right some stuff, and drink. We're definitely gonna drink."
