Biography.
Before Hello Sunrise
Four guys, Zen, Ericson, Dennis and Jack just liked to jam out together. Then sometime in 2010, Zen had decided that they should actually begin a band. The others had agreed and so was the start of a new band. They didn’t know what to name it but the name was decided that it should be, 80 Dollar Sunglasses because they all wore sunglasses that were 80 dollars.
The members of the band formed a band, written and performed under the name, 80 Dollar Sunglasses. Together within some time, they had written and recorded songs. When it was time, they had handpicked the song they liked the most but were a few tracks short of producing a full length album. Instead, they had released an EP titled, “Cycles” which had 4 tracks which is good enough to showcase what they had.
Unfortunately though, they had broken up due to clashing time schedules during school and the impossibility of finding free time to meet up and work together.
The Beginning of Hello Sunrise
It was the start of summer 2011 and the band had found spare time to start a band again. This time, Ericson had suggested that they should drop their old style and try and experiment with new ones until they found one that fits and then build it up from there. It was a good idea and that’s what they did. They still kept some of the old roots with them though but rather than completely keeping it, they had changed it around and mixed it in with other styles that they have learned and wanted to try it out.
With that, they had made a few songs but their styles had all clashed which had caused difficulty with creating music with the new band. Disputes were started about how the songs should be made and none of the styles had fit in together like a puzzle piece. They had to work it out together until they had something they could work with and then fix it up.
Eventually, they did manage to cooperate with each other and finally made a few songs without too much trouble. They are currently creating more songs and will eventually produce their debut album.
The Members.
- Zen
Position: Rhythm Guitar
Zen is responsible for making many important decisions when it comes to making music with the band. He proposes many ideas to start with for a song and the rest of the band takes it from there. He’s a calm guy and is willing to cooperate with others. Zen is credited for his catchy and pop punk rhythms that help the other members in the band stay connected.
- Ericson
Position: Drums
Ericson is always seen as the guy with a bright personality. He can turn a dull and boring scene into an exciting scenario just with the hint of his smile. He helps Zen with some of the music and suggests his ideas to shape up the song and makes changes. Ericson can be said that he is an optimistic person and the chance of him turning sad or angry is very slim and when they say slim, it is very, very slim. Ericson is always looking forward to improving his drumming skill and is always open to criticism, even if it’s the meanest and nastiest comment.
- Dennis
Position: Bass
Dennis is usually quiet when he’s alone and barely talks when he’s with the band unless he is spoken too. He fills in the music with his bass lines and does the job though and that’s enough to satisfy the band. Dennis is very relaxed and keeps his cool very easily and is ever rarely mad and can be very tolerant. But when it comes to problems, he is willing to find a solution to the problems and end arguments as quickly as possible.
- Jack
Position: Lead Guitar
Jack is easily pissed off and always gets enraged every time a problem arises. Jack has a problem with others sometimes and if he’s pushed to a certain point, he tends to take action against them. In songs, his attitude and his energetic stage vibe are what lead the band through. He is more known for delivering his catchy and speedy guitar bits in some of the pieces the band composes which also drive the band in the songs.
